The other 7% attend private or public schools. They are boarding schools where children live as study. Public schools are very expensive. A public school is an independent secondary school.. The entrance exams are known as Common Entrance exams.The most famous public schools are Eton, Harrow and Winchester.

Children start primary school at the age of 5.
In fact primary school consists of infant and junior school. In junior school pupils spend 5 years. Primary schools usually include both girls and boys as pupils.
